Hey friends,

Why is it that the Christmas season lasts for weeks and weeks, but Easter passes by like a shot? During Christmas, the world is filled with special songs, greetings, and traditions, all intended to put us in “the Christmas mood” and (hopefully) focus our attention on the reason for the season—the birth of Jesus. In fact, it seems that every year, Christmas takes up more of the calendar than the year before.

Don’t get me wrong; I love Christmas. But as a Christian, I want to recognize that Easter is just as important as Christmas. In fact, I would even venture to say it is more important than Christmas. Because while Christmas tells us that God was willing to live among us, Easter tells us that He was willing to die for us. Easter is worth celebrating.

That’s why we at Bethel have put together a special worship service to celebrate the importance of Easter. It’s called “Roll Away Your Stone”, and it features special music, a dramatic presentation of changed lives, an inspiring message of hope, and video footage—all designed not to put you in “the Easter mood” but to put you into today’s Easter story, a place of focusing your attention on the reason for the Easter season—the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We would like to celebrate Easter with you and your family @ Bethel. Hope to see you on Sunday April 24th – 10:00am
